Synergy Wellness & Performance promotes healthy participation in an active lifestyle. We specialize in the education of the true components of proper movement and athleticism. We utilize expert coaching and proven methods to execute our systematic approach and assist our athletes in achieving their goals. Our methods progressively improve health, relieve common aches and pains, and develop physical ability, capability, and possibility! We emphasize the importance of proper nutrition and regeneration as integral components to your success. We believe consistent exposure to purposeful practice is the optimal route to efficiently and effectively attain your performance goals!
Why We Do What We Do
The conventional athlete has lost touch with their body and a true connection to their athletic development. They mindlessly complete exercises (typically gathered from fitness magazines or videos of professional athletes on YouTube) – most of the time with sub-par, and even dangerous, form. Since they lack a true gauge of improvement based on skill mastery, they measure the efficacy of their workout on whether or not their effort induced vomiting, they crawled out of the gym in exhaustion, and/or were too sore to sit for 3 days afterward. They eat with reckless abandon because they erroneously link food consumption and activity (“I’ll burn it off later” or “I earned it because I worked out earlier”). The typical athlete is misinformed, over-worked, under-recovered, and dependent on others for how their own body operates. Sound familiar?
But there is change coming over the horizon. People are coming around to the idea that time and effort in the gym is to better themselves for life outside the gym. Having a purpose for their efforts – caring about what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how to do it properly – is more important than mindlessly completing arbitrary exercises. They are starting to care for their body by fueling it with nutritious, wholesome foods. They are beginning to understand that pain and exhaustion are not badges of honor, but rather signals from the body they have pushed beyond their capacity. Adequate rest and recovery will help sustain a high level of quality output day-in and day-out. And for what reason? TO BE BETTER! Better people, better parents, better friends, and better neighbors – more capable of anything. They are getting back to nurturing their body, engaging their mind, and cultivating their community to not only transform their health, but benefit their entire lifestyle!
How We Roll
Synergy operates a progressive system for the purpose of improving physical performance. We focus on wellness just as strongly as we focus on fitness. We DO NOT condone practices that will interfere with your health and physical performance including poor nutrition, lack of recovery, and over-training. We might not be a perfect fit for everyone and we will not hesitate to let you know if our relationship is not going to work. No hard feelings, but we respect our responsibility to the process of self-improvement too much to collect money while an athlete struggles with motivation, dedication, or lack of adherence to our program.
